Skip Hire - What can you put in a skip?
skip hire is just hiring a skip right? You contact a skip hire company, place your rubbish in the skip, and they take it away. Sounds simple.
there is more to it than that. Skip hire is an art form. The skip hire industry has grown to massive proportions, a skip hire delivers a skip, but only certain things can be placed in them
Other material such as tyres, strip lighting and fridges and freezers cannot be placed in a skip without the possibility of extra charges or fines for ignoring the guidelines set out by the skip hire company
Fear not, there are ways of safely getting rid of such materials. Take asbestos for example, there are special asbestos skips that can be used to take away your unwanted and actually very dangerous asbestos.
In your conventional skip hire experience, you should be informed before hand by the skip hire company that this is the case. After all, if you aren’t told I suppose you would just assume that a skip hire company can just dispose of any old material.
you may ask for special skips, with the safety precautions inbuild, if you wanted to put something out of the ordinary into a skip. but the skip hire company needs to be informed beforehand.
To guarantee a hassle free skip hire experience, make sure you know exactly what is going into your skip before it is taken away. This way will make sure you can continue the work on that conservatory, that garden, that kitchen, looking forward to the next time you need the services of a skip hire company.
The guidelines are in place to help the planet as well helping yourself to do your bit for the environment. Who would have thought that skip hire can actually be so much fun?!
