How Does Direct Exchange Time Share Work?

by Febbe Wallace

If you want to own vacation properties, you might want to consider going into timeshare. Aside from direct exchange timeshare, there are also other forms of the property. But beyond the many types of vacation property ownership, more and more people are finding themselves wanting to exchange their time shares with others because they would like to try something new. Exchanging time shares directly is not a difficult process but there are a few pointers that time share holders need to know.

The Process

Exchanging time shared property with another person is very simple. Once can use the services of a time share company (although this is more indirect), or one can do his or her own research to find the vacation properties that are of interest. When a vacation property is found, all that is left to do is to contact the member or owner of that time share and to start negotiation on directly exchanging time shares with that person.

There are many ways to contact time share owners, such as calling them directly or emailing them; the important thing is that a discussion of property specifics and availability takes place. Then it is up to the two parties to agree and arrange the direct exchange time share.

Is It Easy?

If you know how to find timeshare owners to exchanger your timeshare properties with, you’ll discover that the process is very easy. Just “enroll” yourself into different services on the Internet.

Timeshare membership sites can facilitate the exchange of timeshare properties among its members. Basically, all you need to do is register and they can set you up with other time share owners who are a part of their website as well. Then you can contact these members directly to arrange for a time share trading.

Usually, a transaction of this sort will usually end up with you paying a fee to the service, regardless of whether or not the exchange was done directly or indirectly. This is because the website divulges information that would have otherwise been very difficult to come by.

Although Vacation Exchange Network can provide you with information from their database of subscribers who are almost all time share property holders, it’s also advisable to try looking for time share owners by yourself.

You can also advertise your own timeshare in forums that will allow you to do so. Remember to search for forums that are related to time share ownership where all sorts of discussions involving time shares take place. And to be ultimately safe when it comes to direct exchange time share, you might also want to try exchanging with people whom you already know or are acquainted with, be it with friends or with people from work.

Practical & Handy House Cleaning Tips

by Toni Chainbridge

Your kitchen has two enemies the first is grease and the other bacteria. Before deciding to get the excess grease off your kitchen, move all the small appliances off the counter to ensure the bacteria won’t flourish underneath the toaster, oven or mixer.

If you want a more in-depth clean but only have about half-hour to spare then you will also be able to give your floor a quick clean without the use of a dirty mop and bucket. Simply spray the floor with either a floor or multi-purpose cleaner and wipe it over with a floor cloth. Then spray your kitchen applianes with some kind of disinfectant and wipe them drip with a clean micro-fibre cloth.

If you have one hour to spare, begin with the cabinet fronts. Using a solution of soap and water, take a dish sponge and wipe the cabinets from top to bottom. If the cabinets are made of wood, use a wood cleanser.

If you have more than an hour to spare, you can deep clean the appliances. To add freshness to the interiors of the refrigerator, clean it using 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 3 cups of warm water. Wipe the insides of the oven with an all purpose cleanser. With the aid of a plastic scraper get bits of food off the racks. Remove bits of food or crumbs from inside cabinets with a vacuum attachment or a damp cloth.

However, if your appliances are stainless steel, get some clean soapy water and wash them with a soft sponge. Simply dry using kitchen towel. For a finishing touch, wipe over with some steel polish. Buff shiny with a dry micro-fibre cloth.

Here are some more handy and practical cleaning tips for the home:

To remove wax from candle holders, place them in the freezer for an hour or so, the wax will simply slide off the holders.

If your drinking glasses are cloudy, soak them in warm water mixed with vinegar for an hour, then wipe with a nylon sponge.

Smelly mattress? Find the affected area on the mattress and damp over it with cold water. Using borax sprinkle over the top and rub thoroughly until most of the powder has vanished. Brush of a remaining borax.

Wallpaper can be a nightmare to get off walls. Not any more! Using equal parts of water and vinegar, brush over the paper until it is totally soaking. Do this again with the same solution then stand back and watch the paper fall off the walls.

To let the garbage bins smell fresh, place slices of lemon in them. The bins will be free of bad odors

If you have clothes that are delicate, place them inside a pillow-case then wash them on a gentle cyle in your washing machine.

For removing crayon marks on the walls, rub a small amount of tooth paste onto them and rub off with a clean cloth.

Streaky mirror? A cheap way to clean these is to use an old cloth soaked in warm water. Clean the mirror then dry and buff up with a crumpled-up newspaper.

Create An Achievable “get Out Of Debt” Plan

by William Blake

When you have an overabundance of debt, it’s natural to want to get rid of it as quickly as possible. Interest costs can really add up, and having too much debt makes it difficult or impossible to take on debt for things you need. But when we’re faced with more debt than we can handle, it is important not to panic.

Getting out of debt on one’s own is best if it’s possible. But many debtors make the mistake of trying to pay their debts off too quickly. They set unrealistic goals, and when they can’t achieve them they become discouraged. This often ends with them filing bankruptcy, because they feel that there is no way around it.

The best course of action is to be realistic. Make a budget, and include everything that you spend money on each month. Then find what you can realistically do without, and put the money you save on those things toward paying off your debt. Here are some things we can often cut out of the budget:

* Eating out. Whether you pick up fast food for lunch when you’re working, or go out to eat with friends at a fancy restaurant once a week, you can cut costs here. Take your lunch to work, and have dinner with your friends once a month instead of once a week. Or better yet, suggest a less expensive activity that you can do together.

* Vices. Cigarettes, lattes, and other things we buy as a matter of habit are good places to cut back. Quitting smoking is good for you anyway, and switching to regular coffee, made at home with some flavored creamer, would be less expensive. Every little bit helps.

* Entertainment. No one’s saying that you have to sit at home and be bored all of the time. Just examine your entertainment budget and see if there are ways you could cut back. If you rent a lot of movies, for example, consider signing up for an unlimited plan.

* Travel. With gas prices usually going up instead of down, cutting back on travel can be a real money saver. Carpooling, and combining trips as much as possible, are two ways that can save you a substantial amount of money on travel.

It may take you several months or even a few years to get your debt paid off, depending on how much debt you’re in and how much extra money you can put toward it each month. But as long as you’re able to make your minimum payments and add a little extra to at least one of your bills each month, you will be making progress. You’ll also be keeping your credit in good shape by making the payments on time. Just be patient, and you will eventually be debt-free.
