Feng Shui Bedroom Design
In China over 3000 years ago the Feng Shui knowledge developed. The masters of this ancient craft taught that the universe is flowing with an energy called ‘Chi’ and this energy is especially concentrated in the home. The bedroom is an area where nearly one third of our lives are spent and knowing this the masters created a Feng Shui Bedroom design. these rules, when followed, bring wealth, health, good luck and strengthened relationships in love and family.
1. Do colours matter? Feng Shui has a great deal to say about colours in the home and in the Feng Shui bedroom design a basic rule is to keep red out of this area. Red can be used for other areas however it is an energy colour and for rest and recreattion and balanced flow of chi for sleep keep away from red.

A libary is about mind activity and this symbol carries with it active chi energy which prevents good sleeping patterns for recovery. This is not to say you should not read before sleep as this can be beneficial but the larger symbolic libary should be removed.
3. There are many ‘don’ts’ when it comes to your bedroom and that’s because it is meant to be a quiet inactive restful space for your body and mind. High on the list of don’ts is the mirror. This is a Feng Shui bedroom basic - Never have a mirror facing your bed where your image is viewable. This creates an expansion of energy and that’s the last thing you need at night rest.
4 In ancient times the world knew nothing about bathrooms attached to bedrooms called ‘ensuites’. Today it is the norm in most homes however the teaching of the Feng Shui masters about areas of elimination and still water makes the ensuite a problem for the bedroom and indeed the house. In Feng Shui any symbols of elimination or stagnation are a cause of losing wealth and fortune. There is no removing of these areas of course however it is important to keep the door closed and the toilet bowl seat cover down.
