Tips to Help You Purchase a Color Copier

by Larry Brooks

Have you been thinking about the purchase of a color copier? Well the good news is that color copiers are less expensive than a few years ago. And the newer copiers have a lot more features than before.

Tired of running to the copy shop all the time? If so, then maybe it’s time to consider purchasing a new color copier for your business.

If you are replacing a machine or buying for the first time, there are a few things to consider. Modern copiers are now multifunction document handling systems. Do you want to purchase a new or a used machine? Please be aware that some older copiers may be analog and will require more maintenance than the newer digital copiers. Most digital copiers are capable of being used as a printer, a scanner and some as a fax machine.

One thing to consider is your monthly copy volume. If you only need a couple of hundred copies per month, you might be fine with a copy speed of 10 cpm. If you do a couple of thousand per month, you might think about a 20 - 50 cpm machine. Just remember 100 copies will take 10 min. on a 10 cpm copier.

If you purchase a color copier with a decent speed and all the features and network it to all your work stations, all your people will have access to a high speed printer with many features from their desk top.

If you are currently using individual printers at each work station, networking to a centralized copier/printer should show a large savings

Will you need a service contract? If you choose one of the smaller units, some of them are designed to be serviced by the purchaser. Then you don’t really need a contract. For the larger units that only allow you to replace a toner cartridge, a contract is probably in order. Be sure to research this depth.

So here are a few other things you might look into.

* Do you need one color copier or more?

* You will have to plan on an initial outlay plus monthly costs.

* Leasing usually includes maintenance and sometimes supplies.

* If you need black and white and color copies? How many?

* What would be best for you? A plain color copier or a multifunction copier?

When you purchase a color copier, the more research you do the better your chance of buying just exactly what you need.

Things You Should Keep in Mind With retractable Awnings

by Adam Peters

Awnings come in a large variety of shapes and sizes and so when choosing one it is important to consider a number of factors.

Awnings are not something which everyone is overly familiar with, but basically they are a canopy which is designed to help to shade people from the sun. They have been around for hundreds of years, though these days they are used mainly to protect the home and be more visually appealing at the same time. They can help to stop your furniture from fading and they can also protect the home from harsh weather conditions.

What to Look Out For When Purchasing Awnings

There are a number of different styles of awnings available to purchase today and they include awnings which cover whole patio areas and awnings which cover only the windows or doors. You can find more retractable awnings “http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com/RetractableAwnings.html”>publications about retractable awnings at his website. Some awnings are really large and they run from the wall to a fence and they help to extend your garden. They even come with integral lighting which helps you to entertain during the evenings. If you further combine a heat lamp with the awning then that can help you to stay warm during colder months.

One thing you should look out for when purchasing an awning is its price. Now the price will vary depending entirely upon where you shop, but you can expect to pay anything from $250-$4,000. It makes sense to shop around and compare prices on the types of awnings that you are looking for. Hardware stores and your local carpenter are a good place to start and if you search online you could potentially save a lot of money too. So look around before you decide upon anything.

When you are looking into the price of an awning there are a number of things which you should also consider. The quality of the awning is important and also with the price is installation included? Many people would not be able to fit the awning themselves and so they would want to purchase an awning which includes installation. However in many cases the installation is not actually free and so it is worth checking and shopping around to see what you can get for your money.

Overall awnings are ideal for any home but you do need to make sure that you shop around to get the best deal for your money. Ensure that the quality of the awning is good and also that it suits your needs perfectly before you actually purchase it. Also double check the installation costs and see if you do actually need anybody to help you to install it. By installing it yourself you could save money.

Christmas Tree Trimming Tips

by Phil The Gardener

Decorating your Christmas tree is a personal design. It all depends upon your interests and taste. Here are some suggestions for your consideration.

1. Are you going to use a theme? If so be sure the colors go with your tree and the room the tree is in. The ornaments you use depend upon the theme. Themes can be specific colors or a scene from your family history, episode in a movie or some historical event or time.

2. Personalization of your Christmas tree can happen when you add unique personal ornaments of your choice. Specially chosen ornaments add to the Christmas tree and make it uniquely yours.

3. Before you hang a single ornament, plan how you will store the ornaments when you take down the tree. Save the original ornament boxes if you possibly can. If the storage box is no longer usable you maybe able to buy new ones at a moving company or storage location sit.

4. The sparkle of a Christmas tree comes from the strands of Christmas lights hung on the tree. Use caution when stringing the lights. Avoid placing a bulb too close to a branch as a fire can occur quickly.

5. Test your lights before you place them on the tree. Be sure the wires are in good shape and no bare wire is exposed. Start from the top of the tree and work your way down and around. Remember where the plug is, so you end up near enough to plug in the lights.

6. Proper Christmas light storage can save hours of frustration. Just wind the lights around a piece of cardboard or an empty can. This way the lights won’t become a tangled mess. The cardboard also keeps the wires straight which decreases breakage.

7. Starting from the bottom of your tree, hang the larger ornaments. Then gradually add the smaller ones hanging them all around the tree. If you have young children or pets you may want to hang ornaments a little higher to prevent damage to the ornaments.

8. If you’ve ever seen an evergreen tree after a snow storm. Then you know how to hang tinsel on your Christmas tree. Hang the tinsel on the outer ends of the branches. Aim for a picture like you see when there is the first storm of the season.

9. You want your ornaments to shine and compliment your tree. So rather than just putting every ornament you own on the tree, pick and choose the ones your want. This way every ornament has its own special place.
